ALTERNATOR
The function of the alternator to convert mechanical energy obtained from the motor into electricity. Mechanical energy of a distributed motor pulleys, which rotate the rotor and generate alternating electrical current in the stator. Alternating electric current is then converted into direct current by the diode-diode.
Construction alternator parts consist of:
1. Pull (adjustable)
Puli serves to place the fan belt driving the rotor.
2. Fan (Pan)
The function of the fan to cool the diode and coils in the alternator.
3. rotor
Merupaka rotor that rotates inside the alternator, the rotor are rotor coil (rotor coil) which serves to generate magnetism. The nails are contained in the rotor to function as the magnetic poles, two slip rings found on the alternator to function as an electrical distributor rotor kekumparan.
4. stator
Stator coil is part of a silent and consists of three coils which one edges rolled into one. stator construction, Construction relationship is called "Y" or star three fhase.
The middle one is the center of the coil and the part is called the neutral point (neutral point) or bisaa called the terminal "N". at the other end of the cable will produce an alternating current (AC) three-phase.
5. Diode (Rectifier)
The function of the diode is rectify an alternating current (AC) produced by the stator coil into direct current (DC). Diode befungsi also prevents backflow from the battery to the alternator.
